Upshot Commerce Launches Roll Over Payment Gateway Extension

Boston, MA - Upshot Commerce, a provider of on-demand, fully customizable ecommerce software solutions, announced the release of the Roll Over Payment Gateway Extension. During the checkout process the extension determines whether or not a retailer's primary payment gateway is available. If not, the extension forces the transaction to cycle through a predefined list of payment gateways ensuring the transaction is processed.
"With most of our customers using Authorize.Net as their sole payment gateway, I felt the risk to their business was too great if Authorize.Net experienced another significant or prolonged outage," said Neal Kaiser, founder and CEO of Upshot Commerce.
The Payment Gateway Extension is available to ecommerce retailers using the Upshot Commerce Core Platform. The extension adds an additional $25 per month to the ecommerce software licensing fee. But that's a small price to pay for a little peace of mind and insurance.
